The howitzer and crew came to our unit a few years back after the passing of their unit commander and dear friend of ours. They were originally the 4^th South Carolina Artillery. The artillery often acts in support of our infantry and the dragoons attached to us, due to the size and weight of the howitzer our infantry (doubling as mattrosses) are able to quickly relocate with relative ease. The artillery also does several living history events a year on their own.

If you are interested in joining the artillery, we ask that you contact our field commander being that the artillery falls under our umbrella and he will also get you in contact with the gun commander. Some requirements to be a part of the howitzer crew are different than those of our infantry and are at the sole discretion of the gun commander.
